Ipswich Town are looking to bolster their growing Irish squad contingent before the Premier League transfer window closes on August 30.
The Tractor Boys have endured a tough start to the campaign after securing an EPL return for the fist time in two decades via EFL Championship promotion last season.
Kieran McKenna’s side have shown flashes of promise, despite suffering successive defeats in their first two matches of the campaign, against Liverpool and defending champions Manchester City.

Ipswich fans did not expect too much from either game, with Sammie Szmodics’ opening goal at the Etihad Stadium a bright spark for the travelling fans, before eventually losing 4-1 in Manchester.
Republic of Ireland forward Szmodics joined earlier this month, after finishing as the Championship’s top scorer last season, with 27 league goals at Blackburn Roevers.
McKenna has also brought in his international teammate Dara O’Shea from relegated Burnley and he is rumoured to planning another raid on a relegated team.
Chiedozie Ogbene is on McKenna’s radar, according to BBC Sport, on the back of strong first-ever EPL campaign at Luton Town in 2023/24.
The Hatters relegation means Ogbene could be tempted by another crack at the top-flight with Luton valuing him at around £7m ($ 9m) if the 27-year-old requests a move.
