The Serbians nearly pulled off the biggest stunner of the Summer Games on Thursday, falling to Team USA in a 95-91 thriller. Bogdan Bogdanovic scored a team-high 20 points in the loss, and three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic finished with 17 points, 11 assists and five rebounds.
Germany was unable to keep its perfect Olympic record intact against France, which secured a 73-69 win in front of its home crowd. Dennis Schroder (18 points) and Franz Wagner (10 points) were the only double-digit scorers for Germany.
While both teams certainly wanted to compete for a gold medal, this should be a highly competitive battle for bronze.
