Olympic basketball is in full swing in Paris with the men’s and women’s tournaments underway.
Two men’s and two women’s games are on the docket Sunday, with the USA men’s opener against Serbia the highlight.
LeBron James and Co. had their share of struggles during their pre-Olympics exhibitions, surviving scares against South Sudan and Germany, but they had little trouble in their tuneup against Serbia. Team USA won 105-79 on July 17 behind 24 points from Stephen Curry. We’ll see if Steve Kerr’s team has a similarly easy time against Nikola Jokic and Serbia today.
In other games, Puerto Rico’s men and women will open their Olympic schedules, with Jose Alvarado and the men taking on South Sudan in the early game and the women facing Serbia. The other game of the day features Spain vs. China to open women’s play at Paris 2024.
