IVE Wonyoung’s beauty might have just caused Instagram to glitch.
On July 25, a netizen posted about the current status of Wonyoung’s Instagram profile, pointing out that her latest post suddenly included an unexpected warning label. The carousel, which included multiple pictures as follows, was flagged for generative AI usage.
The warning labels explained that the pictures might have been created or edited using generative AI. It also added that such warning labels are automatically assigned to posts where Meta’s system can identify AI signals.
The OP (original poster) added that Instagram falsely flagged Wonyoung’s pictures as AI-generated because of her extraordinary beauty. Many of the comments under the now-viral post seemed to agree on this.
- “With visuals like that, she could be considered AI. LOL.”
- “Didn’t you know Jang Wonyoung was AI? She’s not a real person.”
- “LOOL.”
- “Really, just the GOAT.”
Some, however, pointed out that the label could be there because she really used AI tools to touch up her pictures and even alleged the incident to be a “reverse viral” tactic.
- “Everyone already knows Jang Wonyoung is pretty, so the entertainment company is getting criticized for trying to go viral.”
- “Please stop making such a fuss. What AI? AI is much prettier.”
- “Still taking money from Kakao to write viral posts. How much do you get paid per post?”
- “It’s not about looking like AI; it shows up if there’s actual AI usage recorded in the photo file. Things like automatic background filling in Photoshop… It has nothing to do with appearance…”
What do you think?
