Take it from Joe Burrow: Blondes do it better.
The hair of the Bengals quarterback has been a hot topic for a majority of his career. The Cincinnati star has gone through a number of different looks through his time in college and the NFL. From longer locks to shaved sides, Burrow keeps the fans on their toes.
This offseason, Burrow was spotted with lengthier curls. But when he arrived at training camp on Tuesday, he sported an entirely different cut.
While Burrow has had a variety of ‘dos, his look for 2024 is a new one — and may be his best one yet, depending on how you look at it.
Here is a look at Burrow’s new haircut ahead of the 2024 season.

The blonde look for Burrow is back … back again.
Burrow showed up to Cincinnati on Sunday with a buzz cut, completely cutting down his mane. What hair he does have left is bleached blonde — a Slim Shady style, if you will, as it seems inspired by famous rapper Eminem.
The Bengals quarterback told reporters he switched his hairstyle because he “got bored.” He said the cut will likely be temporary.
It’s not the first time Burrow has been seen with such bright blonde hair. In high school, the gunslinger dyed his hair to the lighter tone while playing for Athens High School.
Burrow was spotted with longer hair just last month in Paris. He was attending a number of different events, including the Cannes Festival and Vogue World Paris show.

There has been speculation about Burrow shaving his head for more than a week. On July 16, he was seen in the background of a video without his patented long locks. While it certainly looked like the No. 1 pick from 2021, it wasn’t completely confirmed until July 23.

The switch-up is something that Chargers fans may be able to relate to. In 2020, QB Justin Herbert shocked everyone in the middle of the season when he showed up with a shaved head, cutting off the lettuce that he is known for wearing dating back to his college days at Oregon.
The move did not work out great for Herbert. He threw for 19 touchdowns and six interceptions in the first 10 weeks of the 2020 season. After cutting the hair, Herbert then managed six TDs, but four interceptions in the next four weeks, causing speculation that the slump was due to the ‘do.

Ja’Marr Chase haircut
Burrow isn’t the only Bengals star to show up to training camp with a buzz cut. Cincinnati wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase also sported a shorter style ahead of the 2024 season.

We will see if the new-look for Burrow, Chase and the Bengals translate to a better 2024 campaign. Last year, Cincinnati finished last in the AFC North at 9-8, with Burrow’s season-ending wrist injury in Week 11 playing a factor.
