Ever since Aaron Rodgers landed with the New York Jets, there has been no shortage of speculation and rumors about his former teammate and good buddy, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams, joining him in the Big Apple.
Adams recently touched on the subject, saying that Rodgers has been in his ear about a possible reunion, but the star wideout also stated that he plans on staying in Las Vegas.
“He’s in the ear,” Adams on the Up & Adams Show. “But it’s not as easy. Obviously, we can get together and talk about the old times and the potential of doing this and that. But like I said, I’m a Raider and he knows that.”
Rodgers and Adams are playing at the American Century Championship this week and the former was asked about his confidence in Raiders offensive coordinator Luke Getsy’s ability to get the most out of Adams in Las Vegas. Unprompted, Rodgers said this about his former teammate after praising Getsy:
“I love Davante Adams, I can’t wait to play with him…again,” Rodgers said.

There have been a few interpretations of Rodgers’ comment. Some are taking it as him talking about playing with Adams in the golf tournament, while others believe Rodgers is openly suggesting the two will reunite in the NFL. It certainly sounded like the latter, but we can’t say for sure.
Whatever the case may be, Rodgers and Adams playing together again is a very realistic possibility.
After all, Adams is turning 32 in December and has no more guaranteed money on his contract, which has two years remaining after 2024. If things to south for the Raiders this year, general manager Tom Telesco could look to trade him at the deadline. Or, if not this season, next offseason is a possibility as well.
