One thing the June 18 episode of WWE NXT was not lacking is its share of controversy inside of the squared circle. Je’Von Evans took the victory in the men’s Battle Royale to determine the No. 1 contender for a shot at taking the NXT Championship off of Trick Williams, and with cracked ribs, no less, but he didn’t get far with that win.
That’s because Ethan Page showed again why he is indeed “All Ego”, complaining his way to a main event match — arguing he was never actually eliminated from the Battle Royale that Evans allegedly won.
And it was Page taking the victory in the head-to-head matchup, leaving NXT general manager Ava with a decision to make on who’ll get the title shot, and who’ll get the snub.

It was a night headlined by gloriously talented matches last week, and a bombshell to open the card and Battle Royale when TNA superstar Joe Hendry appeared and made a declaration he’d win, only to be quickly jumped by everyone in the ring and tossed, then making himself clear to Shawn Michaels that he’ll be back … and then some.
Will that be as early as June 25 in Orlando?
Just say his name, and he’ll appear.
What other controversy might arise as NXT speeds toward Heatwave on July 7 in Toronto??
