When it comes to netizens’ pick of the most underrated idol groups, FIESTAR is always mentioned for their unlimited potential.
Back in March 2015, FIESTAR released their hit track “You’re Pitiful.” It has since had over 21 million watches on 1theK’s YouTube and continues to attack K-Pop fans, even in 2024.
Member Cao Lu has gained attention after revealing her desire to re-release the song.
On May 22, a post gained attention online, and it revealed that while Cao Lu has been live streaming for one and a half years, she has used all the money from selling products to buy copyrights for the Chinese version of the song. Rather than just for her own desires, she wants to rewrite the lyrics in the hope of re-recording it with the members.
This year, Cao Lu used the money saved from selling products on live streams for 1.5 years to purchase the Chinese version of the group’s most popular song ‘You’re Pitiful,’ in order to rewrite the lyrics and in hopes of recording a Chinese version with her former members. The motivation for her in doing this is the regret of not having gotten number 1. After the interview, Cao Lu will fly to Korea and discuss their schedules and recording with her former members.
— Statement about Cao Lu
When the post was shared, netizens loved how Cao Lu had worked so hard to buy a song that was important to the group in the hopes of recording it again with the group. Many fans shared that it shuts down any rumors of discourse among the members and how much FIESTAR means to her.
