The Timberwolves have set the basketball world ablaze after a historic Game 7 comeback win over the defending champion Nuggets.
Minnesota trailed by as many as 20 points and entered the half down by 15 points. Before Sunday, no team had emerged from a halftime deficit of more than 11 points to win a Game 7.
The Wolves showed that there’s a first time for everything.
Minnesota dug deep to outscore Denver 60-37 in the second half and dethrone the champs with an eight-point victory. Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns each had big moments but it was a team-wide effort from the Wolves.
The basketball world was tuned in and they took notice. After Minnesota’s historic win, some of the biggest names in the game took to social media to react.
