A recently-released BBC documentary revisited the Burning Sun Scandal, reopening various floodgates. With new exclusive information and footage, the whole world has been tuning in to the YouTube release.
Fans of K-Drama Lovely Runner have also been hit with a wave of shock after realizing that one of the members in the incriminatory Burning Sun chatroom had starred in the show.
Model-turned-actor Lee Cheol Woo played a supporting role as Hyung Gu, a senior on the swim team.
What alarmed fans was how close he seemed to other actors, including Byeon Woo Seok. He has been seen photographed with other actors and models such as Byeon Woo Seok and Joo Woo Jae, even before Lovely Runner began airing.
Even in 2024, they were spotted hanging out together.
Needless to say, many are shocked. They urge Byeon Woo Seok and Joo Woo Jae to step away.

As Lee Cheol Woo was not as famous as the other participants in the chatroom, his role in the scandal was sidelined quickly and he made a quick recovery to the industry. He scored a job in 2020 with Hush, followed by Love Is For Suckers in 2022, and Bloodhounds in 2023.
The Burning Sun scandal was one that rocked the industry in 2018, detailing how a group of celebrities, actively led by former BIGBANG’s Seungri, sexually assaulted and used various women. Illegal videos were filmed of these various women and uploaded onto a group chat with multiple male celebrities, including Lee Cheol Woo.
