The Minnesota Vikings were ridiculed for years for paying quarterback Kirk Cousins a lot of money for years. Now, they get the last laugh after the Detroit Lions reportedly signed quarterback Jared Goff to an extension.
Goff is set to receive $ 212 million over four years with $ 170 million guaranteed. That’s a lot of money for a quarterback who doesn’t elevate the players around him and needs a great offensive line in front of him.
There is no question that Goff got better with the Lions then he was at the end of his run with the Los Angeles Rams. However, he is now making top quarterback money when he isn’t in that realm. That’s where the Vikings were with Cousins for years and now they get to enjoy the Lions doing just that.
He actually made a lot more than the one we were laughing at😭 pic.twitter.com/lqO9Ecgo9O
