Recently, an online community board garnered attention for LE SSERAFIM Sakura‘s thank you message in the third mini album, EASY.
Sakura stated that she had no good luck in her life, but the OP felt she had more luck than most. “She said she’s never had good luck in her life, but she started as the center of class A on ‘Produce 48’.”
“Hello, this is LE SEERAFIM’s Sakura.
First, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who helped in creating our third mini album. Thanks to Bang Shi Hyuk PD, So Sung Jin CEO, Soyeon performance director, Soyoung performance director, Kim Sung Hyun CD, and 13PD. I’d also like to thank the HMS officials, ACONS officials, and the protocol team.
We’re already releasing our third mini album…time really flies. A lot has happened after releasing four albums and going on our first tour.
This album’s concept is EASY. I think I am someone who doesn’t fit with this word. I feel like I really did not walk an easy route.
I’ve heard someone say this about me before.
‘All the opportunities that came to Miyawaki Sakura were due to luck.’ Although I don’t have any special feelings toward this, I think, ‘Ah, I guess this is how some people view me.’ I don’t feel like I’ve had any good luck in my life. (I also don’t want to say I was lucky, though…lol).
If I were lucky, I wonder if I would have worked this hard and put in this much effort, and I don’t think I would be who I am today.
I became the person I am because it wasn’t easy and very difficult. Due to this, I was able to trust and love myself.
If Fearnot is going through a hard time and has something it needs to accomplish, you will have good results after overcoming that time! Of course, if that is to include your emotional health, that’s a different story…Hard times are like vitamins to help us grow; we all need these growing pains to grow.
This album, too, was hard to prepare, but that’s all the more reason it deserves to be loved!
LE SSERAFIM…it’s not easy lol. But not everyone can do it, and I am thankful and happy that I am able to. I will continue to work hard to become someone that I fearnot and can be proud of! Please give this album a lot of love!”
Netizens, however, were shocked, considering that they felt she was lucky from the start.
- “Talk about unlucky girl syndrome lol.”
- “If you’ve stanned AKB48, you would know she did have luck…she also did put in the effort.”
- “Isn’t it lucky that you were able to debut as a K-idol?”
- “She received all that push on ‘Produce 48’, isn’t that totally lucky?”
- “So getting into class A on ‘Produce 48’ was through effort?”
- “Receiving level A is already lucky.”
- “You received a big push from AKB48 and appeared on ‘Produce’ and got an A with that kind of dance and vocal skills. You took the center role too. When did you not have luck? So hilarious.”
- “Although I like Sakura, and I don’t know about Japan, but you don’t have enough skills to promote in Korea.”
- “Why is she writing about this in her thank you message?”
- “You were lucky since the AKB48 days!”
- “Are you mad that you’re the only one getting hate? The world is equal and harsh to everyone.”
Previously in the group’s documentary, The World Is My Oyster, Sakura shared she was hurt by the negative comments received about being a bad singer. Although she was hurt, she revealed that she would continue to work hard.
