SEVENTEEN recently released the physical album preview for its 17 IS RIGHT HERE best album deluxe version and received a negative response regarding the price. The original album price is 204,900 KRW ($ ~150.65 USD), but it is currently on sale for 170,800 KRW ($ ~125.58 USD).
Although this version includes everything instead of being sold at random, fans felt that the pricing was a bit high considering their previous deluxe versions were around the 40,000 KRW ($ ~29.41 USD) range. For the BSS Second Wind special album, it was priced at 59,400 KRW ($ ~43.67 USD).
The FML deluxe version album was priced at 37,100 KRW ($ ~27.28 USD).
Fans felt that the pricing had gone up way too much and even blamed HYBE for this drastic gap.
- “This is really too much.”
- “There’s no solution with HYBE.”
- “They’re crossing the line…”
- “My mind went blank for second looking at the price.”
- “So does the photo book and archiving book have like 500 pages or something? How is this over 200,000 KRW?”
- “The prices are crazy.”
- “Ok not buying. Actually, can’t buy it…”
- “SEVENTEEN was already doing well…they should not have joined HYBE. I’m boycotting this.”
- “HYBE is really only about the money.”
- “This is totally something worth boycotting…HYBE…”
- “HYBE has gone crazy with money…”
- “But fans are going to buy it still…”
- “This is going overboard…”
