The Minnesota Vikings have a lot of positive momentum going into the 2024 season. They just selected Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy and Alabama EDGE Dallas Turner with their first-round picks and the positive energy is palpable across the board.
One of the more interesting elements with the Vikings is seeing what happens with the schedule release. They are set to play a third place schedule and will end up hosting the Atlanta Falcons, which means the return of quarterback Kirk Cousins, who spent the last six seasons with the franchise.
Despite having a third-place schedule, the schedule isn’t very easy for the Vikings.
Vikings have a difficult 2024 schedule
The third-place schedule won’t help the Vikings. According to Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis, the Vikings will have the fifth-hardest schedule. The Detroit Lions, who will play a first-place schedule, have the 12th-most difficult schedule while the Green Bay Packers have the 14th-toughest and the Chicago Bears have the third-easiest.
The 2024 schedule is likely to be released this week, but it hasn’t been quite yet. Here are who the Vikings are set to face.
