In an era of K-Pop where live vocals are being criticized left and right, it’s a good opportunity for vocally strong artists to flex their abilities and get themselves recognized. This is especially true for fourth and fifth generation groups, and one of the groups quickly proving to be full of vocal powerhouses is BABYMONSTER.
The group had a bit of a rough start, debuting in November 2023 with “Batter Up”, which wasn’t even promoted on music shows. Now that they’ve sort of “re-debuted” with Ahyeon, however, their reputation has been growing as people become aware of the members’ talents, likely thanks to their long training periods.
Recently, the members appeared on a radio show to promote “SHEESH” by performing the song live.
Not only did they release the above video, but they also shared their own “MR-removed” clip of the members singing on their official YouTube account. The members sing completely without backing in this video, showcasing just how strong each of their vocal abilities are.
Here’s a clip of just the singing portion of the video.
이게 진정한 MR제거란말이다.
진짜 MR 없이 쌩목소리로만 부르는 SHEESH

Korean netizens have shared just how impressed they are with this performance, with many asking for a full version of the “MR-removed” song.
- “Everybody’s good.”
- “They seem to be the top of 5th generation skills.”
- “What the, give me the full version.”
- “Everyone is so good, I want the full version lol.”
- “The blonde girl is really good.”
- “They all have great vocalizations, so they don’t seem to feel anxious when they sing.”
- “Everybody is good at singing, but Asa’s rap is crazy…..”
- “They’re really good, I’m impressed.”
- “Give me the full version YG!!!!!!!!!!!”
- “Ah, they should go to Coachella, they’re good.”
International fans are also sharing their thoughts, both impressed with the members’ talents as well as YG Entertainment‘s tactic of showcasing their artists’ singing abilities during a time when so many other groups are getting criticized for them.
BABYMONSTER is definitely a rookie K-Pop group with a lot of potential!
