It’s been a tough stretch for the 76ers.
Before Joel Embiid suffered a meniscus injury at the end of January, Philadelphia had the second-best record in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers have gone 10-16 since then, dropping them to No. 8 in the standings.
The good news for the 76ers is they’ve clinched a spot in the Play-In Tournament. They also still have a chance to move into the playoff bracket, as they’re only 1.5 games behind the Pacers in sixth place.
The 76ers have 10 games to make up that difference, starting with Wednesday’s matchup with the Clippers. Will Embiid be in uniform as Philly looks to get back on track?
Here’s what you need to know about Embiid’s status against the Clippers.

Is Joel Embiid playing tonight?
The 76ers haven’t released an injury report for Wednesday’s game yet, but Embiid is not expected to play.
Embiid underwent a left meniscus procedure in early February and was set to be evaluated in four weeks. ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne provided an update in mid-March, reporting that Embiid was “not anywhere close right now to coming back.”
“The hope that they have in Philly is that they can just stay in the mix for Joel Embiid to come back in the last week or so of the season and at least to where he has a chance to get back some conditioning before the playoffs,” said Shelburne.
Embiid was playing the best basketball of his career before the injury, averaging career-highs of 35.3 points and 5.7 assists to go along with 11.3 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, and 1.1 steals.
