Kim Mulkey outfit history
The LSU head coach attracted attention for her outlandish outfits throughout the Tigers’ run at the 2023 NCAA Tournament, which ended in the program’s first national championship.
Mulkey certainly puts her spin on sideline attire, often incorporating feathers, bright colors and interesting textures. That can make her stick out, especially in comparison to some of the more sleekly dressed tacticians in the college game — for example, South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley.
Nevertheless, Mulkey isn’t afraid to try something different. She famously donned this garish pink-and-green suit jacket during LSU’s Sweet 16 contest last year — you can’t miss the neon pink feathers.

Was she a basketball coach or a woman masquerading as a peacock? The world may never know. But perhaps she helped distract No. 2 seed Utah just enough in the Tigers’ 66-63 win.

That’s not Mulkey’s only eye-catching look. In fact, it’s only the tip of the iceberg for the four-time national title winner.
Mulkey has also draped herself in flower petals, Tigers stripes and what may as well have been bumper stickers to lead her troops out on the floor, all in the hopes of expressing herself in her freest form.

Her return to the March Madness runway could be here highest-profile yet. Whether that’s a good or bad thing remains to be seen, however.
