Who will win the women’s NCAA Tournament in 2024?
Undefeated South Carolina opened with the best odds to win March Madness in 2024 at -135, according to the BetMGM sportsbook. After all, the Gamecocjs haven’t lost a game since last year’s Final Four.
That loss came at the hands of Caitlin Clark and Iowa (+600), the No. 2 overall seed this year, ensuring a rematch won’t happen until the national championship game. The teams with the best odds to unseat those powerhouses include defending champion LSU (+750), UConn (+1500), Stanford (+1500) and Texas (+1500).
A team seeded 3 or lower has never won the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. No. 3 North Carolina did it in 1994, No. 3 Tennessee in 1997 and No. 3 LSU in 2023. The lowest seed to make a women’s Final Four was No. 9 Arkansas in 1998.
