Liverpool will bid to keep their dreams of a quadruple alive when they host Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round on February 28.
The Reds triumphed 1-0 over Chelsea after extra time in the Carabao Cup final last Sunday, Virgil van Dijk’s goal ensuring Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge will end with at least one trophy to celebrate.
They could yet enjoy a famously successful season, though. Sitting on top of the Premier League table after 26 games, Liverpool are also still alive in the UEFA Europa League and are among the favourites to win the FA Cup for the second time in three seasons.
Standing in their way are Southampton, who are fourth in the Championship and in with a real chance of securing promotion back to the Premier League for 2024/25. Saints needed a replay in the last round to get past Watford, winning 3-0 in the second meeting after the first finished 1-1.
