The Lakers entered All-Star Weekend as one of the hottest teams in the NBA, but they face a big test in their first game back.
If Los Angeles opening its schedule for the final stretch of the regular season against a surging Golden State team wasn’t enough, LeBron James is still dealing with an ankle injury.
James missed the team’s final game before the All-Star break, and he’s been ruled out again for Thursday’s matchup.
This marks James’ 21st season, but he is still playing at an All-Star and All-NBA level. He’s second on the Lakers in scoring with 24.8 points per game. He also leads the team with 7.8 assists per game and ranks second with an average of 7.2 rebounds.
