In a game day filled with stars, it was Usher — the dancing, prancing R&B icon — who took Super Bowl 58 by storm.
The 45-year-old icon crooned his way back into the hearts of countless spectators, many of whom hadn’t even gotten the chance to witness him at his pomp.
He was effervescent, charming, and daring. Most notably, though, he was stylish.
Usher sported an array of different outfits, some splattered with sequins and jewels, others adorned with color. He’s not just a singer, but a performer — and you can’t be a great one without stimulating all the senses.

The good
The glistening platform swept up Usher like a vortex. He’s celestial, though, and he made sure to shimmer in Off-White on Sunday.
Usher donned numerous different furs and fabrics during Sunday’s festivities. Perhaps his most alluring was the black-and-blue two-piece he rocked while performing alongside will.i.am, Ludacris, and Lil’ Jon.

Speckled with sequins and skin-tight material, Usher’s fit reminded the citizenry that not only is he one of the most talented artists of his generation, but he’s also among its flashiest.
Some may think the suit was analogous to a bizarro Power Rangers cosplay, but to that, I’ll ask: is that such a bad thing? Especially when roller skates are involved…
Shawled up
The internet took special note of Usher’s pregame look, hoping to use it as a way of predicting just how his showcase would go.
They were instead greeted by a shawl that featured an image of a Black Jesus. Usher is nothing if not a risk-taker.

Michael Jackson tribute
Usher would be nothing without his predecessors. Prince, New Edition, and Tony! Toni! Tone! all represent acts that paved the way for Usher to find his voice (and moves).
When it comes to entertainers, though, there was no one bigger than Michael Jackson. Usher decided to pay homage to his idol during his showcase, draping himself in a bedazzled vest and white sequin gloves, just like MJ did in his iconic “Can You Feel It?” video.

Before he revealed his precious gemstones to the world, he strolled across the stage in a stunning white fur number. Cruella DeVille would be proud.

This one was for the OGs.
The bad/ugly
Of all the outfits worn on Sunday evening, there was just one that truly missed the mark. It belonged to Atlanta-based producer Jermaine Dupri, who looked more “eight-year old wearing dad’s clothes for halloween” than an acclaimed producer.

The fact that Dupri was involved in the festivities was fresh. His suit? Not so much. The less said about his fashion choice, the better.
