The 2023 FIFA Club World Cup will operate within the majority of European domestic campaigns as Manchester City head to Saudi Arabia as UEFA Champions League winners and representatives.
Pep Guardiola’s side take a break from Premier League action in mid-December to challenge for a potential first-ever world title, after clinching a debut Champions League in June 2023.
The chance to win another trophy will be a huge motivation for City in the Middle East, with Guardiola also aiming to become the first manager to win the tournament four times, alongside a cash prize on offer from FIFA.
The Sporting News has the full details on the tournament including how much money the winners will collect in 2023.
