Dieting to control blood sugar is a all the rage, but it’s not just a fad — There’s science backing it up!
She discusses the importance of not spiking your blood sugar levels starting from the very first meal of your day.
“Reverse eating” is where you start by eating vegetables, then slowly introduce protein, and finally, introduce carbs. Normally, this is the opposite of how many people eat, so it may feel counterintuitive at first.
However, by eating your food in this order, you will avoid blood sugar spikes which will make it easier to burn fat.
She also pairs this with intermittent fasting, another way to prevent blood sugar spikes. She fasts for 13 hours and has an eating window of 11 hours.
It’s possible that after 12 hours of fasting, your body begins to burn fat for energy.
