Another budding hoop sorcerer will grace the floor this week, hoping to add to his rapidly growing legacy with another impressive showcase.
Montverde star Cooper Flagg returns to the floor mere days after participating in the McDonald’s All-American game. The stakes are a little higher this time around, though, as he’ll be tasked with leading his side past Compass Prep (AZ) in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Chipotle Nationals.
Flagg, a Duke commit and the prospective No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft, is widely regarded as a special talent, blending both length, agility, and impressive athleticism to become one of high school basketball’s most popular figures. He’ll hope to showcase such qualities against the Dragons, a veteran-laden squad led by Clemson commit Del Jones and Arizona State commit Sammie Yeanay.

If so, Montverde — a side bursting with talent, including fellow McDonald’s All-American Derik Queen — could find itself dancing with history, only two games away from another national title.
