There’s something poetic about an NCAA Tournament rematch that comes in the same round as it did the year before.
After meeting in last year’s Sweet 16, the Iowa Hawkeyes and Colorado Buffaloes again meet with an opportunity to advance to the Elite Eight. Some things have changed on both sides but Iowa is still led by superstar Caitlin Clark, who is poised to lead her team back to the national championship game.

Iowa and Colorado punched their tickets to the Sweet 16 with wins over Big 12 foes. In the second round, the Hawkeyes held on for a 64-54 win over West Virginia while the Buffaloes pulled away for a 13-point win over Kansas State.
After coming up short last year, Colorado believes it has the answer to slowing down Clark and her Iowa team. Given the crash course to get back to this point, this year’s game has the makings of a good one.
The Sporting News is tracking live updates from the Sweet 16 matchup between Iowa and Colorado, including stats and highlights from Clark.
