While Ahyeon’s visuals and charisma have been getting praise, however, many netizens aren’t too impressed with the song teaser in the new clip. The word “sheesh” is repeated by Ahyeon five different times in a way that some fans feel is too grating and hard on the ears.
Additionally, some think that using the word “sheesh” as such a staple for the song could end up dating the track in years to come, when the word inevitably falls out of style with the public.
On a forum post about BABYMONSTER’s “SHEESH” teaser, the comments were overwhelmingly critical towards those behind the song and not so much to Ahyeon herself.
A Reddit post on the topic showed similar reactions from netizens, with the top comments sharing almost identical sentiments to those above.
Since this is only a small clip of “SHEESH”, it’s possible the song will sound completely different than what people expect, but we’ll have to wait and see.
