A recent incident of CNBLUE member Yonghwa getting groped at a concert has left netizens enraged.
The Korean pop-rock band performed in Hong Kong on March 16, kicking off their CNBLUENTITY Asia tour.
The Hong Kong concert brought the group quite the praise from fans who had flocked to AsiaWorld-Expo to witness CNBLUE’s first on-stage appearance in the country since their 6-year hiatus, which ended with the CNBLUENTITY Seoul concerts in 2023.
However, this special concert was made murky for many after an incident of fan-groping was caught on camera, upsetting many netizens. In a video posted by a fan on Threads, CNBLUE’s main vocalist, Yonghwa, could be seen walking up to the audience and standing on the barricade while performing a song.
The moment he stood up, audiences in the first few rows reached out hurriedly, touching his upper body frantically. Some were also seen putting their hands inside his shirt, touching his bare body.
The incident is being intensely criticized by netizens, with many considering it sexual harassment.
Whose hands going under his shirt… when you get this kind of interaction from Yonghwa or other artists, don’t cross the line pic.twitter.com/wSn6nAiHnM
