BL (boy love) dramas have become increasingly popular in Korea, with many popular actors and idols appearing in series. Last year, an entire active K-Pop group starred in a drama with the members being each others’ love interests.
The BL Drama Starring An Entire Fourth-Generation Group Releases A Spicy New Teaser
Recently, a third-generation idol’s kiss scene in a drama gained attention for being steamy!
In 2017, The Music Works debuted a boy band named MYTEEN. The group released their first album titled MYTEEN GO!, then multiple members appeared on the survival program MIXNINE.
The group would go on to disband in 2019, following two members’ participation in Produce X 101. Since then the members have pursued their own careers, including Lee Taevin, who departed in 2018 to focus on his solo career.
Taevin appeared in all three seasons of Penthouse as the son of characters Gyu Jin and Sang Ah.
His latest role is in the drama Love For Love’s Sake, where his character Tae Myung Ha somehow ends up inside an online game in the body of one of the characters. Cha Joon Wan plays Cha Yeo Woon, an in-game character Myung Ha becomes emotionally tangled with.
It was adapted from the webtoon Love Supremacy Zone by Aquram and Hwacha, illustrated by Kkokku.
The drama has many kisses between the characters, but one has gained attention online for the chemistry between the two stars.
In a behind-the-scenes clip, the series gave a look at one of the show’s romantic moments. Taevin and Joon Wan’s characters share a kiss on the beach, and the two actors work to ensure that the scene’s emotion is correctly captured.
Netizens appreciated the steamy scene, especially because so many K-Dramas lack in that department.
