Estevao and Casemiro’s first-half goals gave Brazil an entertaining 2-0 win over Senegal at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal’s home ground has become a regular second home for Brazil during international breaks and this was their seventh consecutive win at the venue.
Matheus Cunha hit the post and crossbar in a lively opening from Carlo Ancelotti’s side before Chelsea winger Estevao slammed home Casemiro’s deflected pass in the 28th minute.
Casemiro was then left unattended to dispatch a classy finish from Rodrygo’s free-kick.
The second half was notable for injury worries on both sides of north London, as Senegal’s Tottenham midfielder Pape Sarr hobbled out of the action before Arsenal centre-back Gabriel did likewise.
Brazil and Senegal have each secured their qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

52 mins: Jackson right into the action as he presses Ederson into an error but his resulting shot clips the outside of the post. A let-off for Brazil as their goalkeeper raises his hand apologetically.
48 mins: Not the first time, a bad thing has happened to Tottenham at this stadium. Pape Sarr is injured early in the second period and has to come off. Nicolas Jackson is on, which looks like it means Sadio Mane dropping back to No. 10.
Halftime
Tempers close to boiling over just before the break amid a VAR red card check. Players from both teams frankly exchanging views. Mane ploughs a free-kick into the top of the defensive wall and referee Jarred Gillett takes the opportunity to get both sides back into their respective changing rooms.
35 mins: 2-0 to Brazil! Casemiro scores his first international goal for two-and-a-half years. Rodrygo floats a free-kick to the far post and Casemiro ghosts in to control and finish with aplomb off the inside of the post. Senegal are appealing for an infringement but the VAR check comes up in Brazil’s favour.
28 mins: GOAL! Estevao gives Brazil the lead. Casemiro’s speculative pass towards the area deflects into Estevao’s path and the Chelsea youngster slams a low finish past Mendy for this fourth goal in his past five international appearances.
17 mins: Now Cunha hits the bar! Lovely, patient build-up from Brazil and it’s the same combination from the first chance. Estevao slips a pass in to the under-lapping Guimaraes and his chipped cross is nodded against the crossbar by Manchester United forward.
6 mins: Brazil hit the post! Ancelotti’s men break quickly and Guimaraes cuts the ball back for Cunha, who shoots against the foot of the upright and wide.
