
Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups has been arrested in connection with a federal investigation into illegal gambling, per NBC’s Tom Winter.
While we don’t know many details yet about Billups’ involvement, the announcement did come the same morning that Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier was arrested for a federal investigation into gambling.

Chauncey Billups arrest details
Billups was arrested on Thursday, October 23, for his involvement in illegal sports gambling.
We currently only know two things about Billups’ arrest: first, that the games in question were not games where he was coaching.
Second, more details will be released later in the morning on Thursday, October 23, in a press conference led by FBI Director Kash Patel.
More details will be announced with the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Joseph Nocella, FBI Director Kash Patel, Assistant Director of the FBI Chris Raia, HSI Special Agent in Charge Ricky Patel, and NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch later this morning.

Billups and Rozier’s arrests were determined not to be for the same event, but are in the same overall investigation. Rozier’s arrest was tied to a specific game. Billups’ arrest was tied to an “illegal poker operation tied to the Mafia,” per ABC News.
