Inflation is a wicked witch, speckled with warts and bites and everything (not) nice. Fortunately, there are a few oases that insulate us from the piercing stings of such a monstrosity.
One of those, it seems, is Panthers games. Specifically, Carolina’s Week 15 home clash with the Falcons.
The matchup pits two of the league’s worst sides against one another.
And though the NFC South duel should prove dreary as the forecast (rain, lots of it), there are some perks to the dreariness — namely that tickets to the game should be dirt-cheap.

Images swirled across the web indicating that fans hoping to catch the game can do so for as low as $ 0.45 on Stubhub.

Perhaps it’s because both teams are caked in mud. The Panthers have won just one of their opening 12 contests. Bryce Young’s rookie season has been a struggle — he’s got nine touchdowns and nine interceptions so far, completing just 58.5 percent of his passes.
The Falcons (6-7) haven’t been much better. Although they are competing for a division title, it hasn’t been the most aesthetically appealing effort, especially with Desmond Ridder taking the reins of Arthur Smith’s offense.
Nevertheless, tickets are not selling like hotcakes. That should be a breath of fresh air to those hoping to catch an affordable game of football — paradoxical as it may seem.
Falcons vs. Panthers ticket prices
Rumors of the Panthers’ demise may have been slightly exaggerated. Although buying a voucher for Sunday’s clash won’t break the bank, it isn’t as stark of a price drop as you may have hoped for. TicketMaster is offering passes to Bank of America for as low as $ 12 on Sunday (service fees not included). Similar prices are being touted on other ticket sale websites like SeatGeek, Vivid Seats and StubHub.
It seems the gossip surrounding Carolina and its return to 1950s-style pricing was overblown. Still, $ 12 for an NFL game? In this economy? That might be worth moving mountains for.
