BTS Jin and Jungkook‘s friendship could be described as very demure…
….very cutesy…
…and very mindful, if by “demure,” “cutesy,” and “mindful” you mean “chaotic,” “competitive,” and “always entertaining.”
Although Jin and Jungkook aren’t together–the latter is currently serving in the military–Jungkook is still very much present in Jin’s life. The Golden Maknae has popped up more than once during Jin’s Run BTS! spinoff, Run Jin.
In Episode 6, The Prince of Tennis, Jin and his guest, actor Lee Yi Kyung, put their tennis prowess to the test. Jin and Lee Yi Kyung met over a decade ago while Jin was still a student who was taking a neighborhood acting class.
At one point, Jin and Lee Yi Kyung teamed up against a pair of tiny tennis players. Before the match, Jin asked the kids to name their favorite idol…
…and immediately regretted it. He was struck speechless when the first child chose Jungkook. The staff laughed as Lee Yi Kyung tried to reassure Jin by telling him that the kid was just being honest.
Jin then asked the child’s teammate the same question after declaring that he “doesn’t care about such things.” This time, Jin let the child know that her favorite idol didn’t have to be a BTS member; it could be any idol.
So, the girl chose…Jungkook! In response, Jin jokingly kicked both tennis kids off the court as Lee Yi Kyung tried to calm him down.
Even though Jin probably would have loved to be picked as the kids’ favorite idol, he admitted–or, rather shouted–that he also likes Jungkook.
After all, what’s not to like?
