As the super popular summer festival WATERBOMB grows and expands to different locations, it allows for huge audiences to experience new artists. This year has seen the festival introduce locations outside of Asia and add many non-Korean artists to different line-ups.
Recently, the P-Pop girl group YGIG became the first to perform at WATERBOMB, attending the Incheon date on August 3.

PLUUS is a six-membered group that debuted in 2023 under SBTown. SBTown’s CEO was formerly the president of ShowBT Entertainment, which debuted SB19.
Like YGIG, the group’s members —Theo, Gab, Yen, Haro, Justin, and JL — went through pre-debut training similar to that of a K-Pop group. Both groups were part of a pre-debut trainee process comparable to SM Entertainment‘s SM Rookies in how their identities were publicly known.
The group’s first mini-album, +.Y.M., was released in April 2023 and featured three title tracks, which is unusual for most idol groups. Another interesting fact about the group is that they do not have an assigned leader; instead, they change who the assigned leader is in each era.
