Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and his brother, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, host a podcast together and the former recently trolled the latter during one of their episodes.
Equanimeous signed with the Saints earlier this offseason after spending the last two seasons with the Chicago Bears, and he’s joining a Saints team that should be competitive, although nobody is thinking Super Bowl for New Orleans.
Meanwhile, Amon-Ra is on a Lions team that is considered one of the favorites to win the Big Game this season, as Detroit sports one of the very best rosters in the NFL.
And that’s something Amon-Ra epically trolled his brother with during the latest episode of the “St. Brown Podcast” (the clip can be viewed at the 25-minute mark).
“No one in your f—— room thinks they’re going to win a Super Bowl, honestly,” Amon-Ra said. “Us, like we know we can do it.”
“I think we can win the Super Bowl,” Equanimeous replied. “Saints are a great organization… It’s not that hard to make the playoffs.”
While we appreciate Equanimeous’ optimism, the Saints’ chances of winning a Super Bowl are slim, at best. And, despite his comment on making the playoffs, the Saints are living proof that it isn’t that easy, as New Orleans hasn’t made the postseason in the past three seasons.
The Lions know first hand just how difficult it is to make the playoffs, also, as Detroit failed to reach the postseason in the previous six seasons before their impressive 2023 campaign that ended in the NFC Championship Game.
