Netizens are worried about BABYMONSTER‘s Ahyeon after her recent appearance.
Fans have hit back at netizens who have recently been criticizing Ahyeon for her singing technique or “over-dancing.” Following the criticism, netizens thought Ahyeon changed her style on stage when performing, and now many are concerned about her wellbeing.
On July 10, BABYMONSTER appeared on MBC Radio, where they chatted and performed their new song “FOREVER.”
After the appearance, videos started going viral that seemingly showed Ahyeon not being as enthusiastic as normal and some moments where she seemed sad or disconnected from the rest of the group. In the videos, netizens believed it was because Ahyeon had seen the “hate” about her performance skills.

Considering the clips used and the amount of exposure, it wasn’t surprising that the videos were full of netizens feeling sorry for Ahyeon and criticizing the comments she had received, even comparing her to past female idols with similar “hate.”
Yet, others have hit back at the viral videos for attempting to create drama or paint Ahyeon as being or acting a specific way. In particular, while the clips used are only small sections of the recent radio show, they explained that Ahyeon was seemingly very positive and interactive throughout the appearances as well as other schedules to promote “FOREVER. Users shared how enthusiastic and happy Ahyeon seemed away from those isolated clips.
I’m going to talk about this once and for all. Y’all should STOP analyzing Ahyeon’s every behavior. These types of videos are circulating around the internet, and they don’t bring anything good. She’s sometimes more reserved than other girls, but it doesn’t mean she’s always sad+ pic.twitter.com/kLgwpEo2Lj

I hate tiktok people to the bones. Always overreacting and spreading disinformation. I literally posted tons of clips of how happy and comfortable ahy is this time. Like???? Are we just going to ignore that? Please just let her be.

Netizens are unsurprisingly worried about the impact of hate on Ahyeon, but fans think some of the videos are created to make drama by taking clips out of context.
