Recently, Megan Thee Stallion released her full album, Megan.
The album has many guest features, ranging from her tour’s opening act, GloRilla, to singer-songwriter Victoria Monét. Among her tracks, one of the most popular is “Mamushi,” which features a Japanese rapper, Yuki Chiba.
Yuki Chiba is a 34-year-old from Tokyo, Japan, who began his musical career at around 18, following a tough childhood. The rapper’s parents both suffered from drug addiction, with his father ending his life while high on drugs and his mother introducing him to them when he was just 15.
Following a viral hit he produced for his brother, Yuki Chiba was placed in the international spotlight after being featured on “It G Ma” by Keith Ape in 2015. At the time, his feature was attributed to KOHH, the name most remember him under.
After this, he released his third album, Dirt II, and collaborated with popular artist Frank Ocean on the single “Nikes.” Yuki Chiba also collaborated with Hikaru Utada and Mariah Carey on the latter’s Japanese exclusive album.
Yuki Chiba went on an extended hiatus from 2021 to 2024, retiring his former stage name and stating he would not perform songs from this time anymore. He marked his return in February 2024 with “Team Tomodachi” and released an album of remixes of the track featuring artists from worldwide.
Relationship wise, Yuki Chiba was once linked to model Miyamoto Ayana, following the leaking of an alleged sex tape of the pair. However, there have been no official announcements from Chiba, likely preferring to remain private in that aspect of his personal life.
