The final group stage matches of Euro 2024 are underway and Croatia face Italy on the last matchday of Group B.
Italy will book their place in the knockout stage with a draw, while Croatia almost certainly needs to win to reach the latter stages of the tournament.
Croatia’s 3-0 defeat to Spain put them in this challenging position and Zlatko Dalic’s side struggled against Albania. Changes at the break saw them manage to turn the game around thanks to Andrej Kramaric’s strike and an own goal by Klaus Gjasula, who later redeemed himself with a dramatic last-minute equalizer.
With it being the final group stage match, both this game and Spain vs. Albania will kick off simultaneously in Germany.
Spain already qualified as group winners after defeating the reigning champions Italy 1-0 in Gelsenkirchen on Thursday.

For Italy, a point should be enough to qualify for the Round of 16, given Albania have to play Spain, yet head coach Luciano Spalletti has rung the changes despite not having their knockout place mathematically confirmed.
After fielding unchanged line-ups in consecutive games, Spalletti has made major adjustments for the Group B finale. Mateo Retegui starts ahead of Gianluca Scamacca up front, with Gianluca Raspadori also entering the attack alongside him in a switch to a 3-5-2. Surprisingly, Federico Chiesa drops out as does Davide Frattesi.
Federico DiMarco picked up a slight injury but proves fit to start, while Matteo Darmian enters the back line as a third central defender.
Italy starting lineup (3-5-2): Donnarumma (GK) — Darmian, Calafiori, Bastoni — Di Lorenzo, Jorginho, Barella, Pellegrini, Dimarco — Raspadori, Retegui.
Injured: None.
Suspended: None.
On a yellow: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Bryan Cristante, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Ricardo Calafiori.
