Third time’s a charm, right?
The Sky and Fever are about to face off for the third time this season, this time in Chicago. Angel Reese and Co. are looking for their first win against Indiana and Caitlin Clark.
The Fever won 71-70 in their first matchup, and followed it up with a 91-83 victory in June. There were some positives in the game, like Reese and Cardoso each recording double-doubles, but it also marked Chicago’s fourth straight loss. A win against an Eastern Conference rival couldn’t come at a better time as the Sky prepare to face the Aces, Lynx and Storm.
However, Indiana only seems to be getting better. The win marked their fourth in six games and their second straight. Clark put up a 23-point performance after two subpar games, and Aliyah Boston notched her third straight double-double.
While the Fever have the momentum, Chicago are on the edge of a win. And it needs it before a tough nine-game schedule prior to the Olympic break.
No matter who wins, the two teams should put up a show in yet another Reese vs. Clark showdown.
