In 2022, SM Entertainment announced its official contract with Na Haeun, also known as awesomehaeun.

The young star made her first appearance to the public on K-Pop Star, where she was known as the 4-year-old dancing genius.
Since then, she has continued to wow fans with dance covers on her YouTube channel with over 5 million subscribers.
She has met many idols through gigs presenting awards at ceremonies. Here is her at the 2017 Melon Music Awards.
On June 11, 2024, SM Entertainment teased their new girl group. Everyone fully expected Na Haeun to be a part of the lineup, given her high profile.
It seemed like there woulud be a total of 12 girls debuting.
Many were excited to see Haeun finally debut. A visit to her Instagram page had fans worrying instead. They realized that she had removed “SM Entertainment” from her bio!
Fans continue to send her their support although they are sorely disappointed by the potential news.
This would not be the first time that SM Entertainment has cut high profile trainees from their final lineup. All of the girls in SM Rookies did not make it to debut except for aespa‘s Ningning.
