It’s not the Olympic trials, but the road to Paris starts now. Seventy-five gymnasts are competing in Fort Worth, Texas, during the four-day event in the hopes of earning a spot at the trials in a month.
After Day 1, it’s Simone Biles that leads on the women’s side. The greatest gymnast of all time scored a massive 60.450, becoming the first woman to score a60 points or more this quad. With two months to grow, it’s just what the Americans need to establish confidence among the leader of their five. Biles won each event as well.
