Lake Travis will be at home Thursday night to begin its District 26-6A schedule.
Though for the Cavaliers, they technically aren’t at their home stadium. This season, Lake Travis is playing its home games at Dripping Springs due to renovations going on at its stadium, and Thursday, the Cavs play host to Austin Bowie.

The Cavaliers enter their district opener at 4-0, which featured a win at Rockwall on Sept. 5 – the same Rockwall team that last week upset defending UIL 6A Division I state champion North Crowley. Lake Travis is also ranked No. 24 in the latest edition of The Sporting News Texas Top 25 rankings.
It’s also the 26-6A opener for Austin Bowie, as the Bulldogs come in at 3-1 having won two straight games, the latest a 29-10 triumph against Converse Judson.

– TOUCHDOWN LAKE TRAVIS. Van Hopping breaks off a 2-yard run into the end zone, and the Cavaliers are on the board, going 40 yards in 5 plays. (Bowie, 14-7 | 10:21, 2nd)
– Lake Travis has the ball inside the Bowie 30 to start the second quarter.
FIRST QUARTER
– Lake Travis appeared to score a TD on a punt return, but it is called back due to a penalty. Cavs do have the ball at the Bowie 40 with 15 seconds left in the quarter.
– TOUCHDOWN AUSTIN BOWIE. Bulldogs find paydirt again, this time on a double-pass as Kieron Campbell takes a pass in his backfield and finds a wide-open Trevor Watts from 13 yards out. (Bowie, 14-0 | 3:53, 1st)
– Bowie on the march once again, and thanks to a roughing the passer penalty on Lake Travis, have the ball inside the Cavs’ 15.
– Lake Travis goes three-and-out on its opening series and Bowie will get the ball back again.
– TOUCHDOWN AUSTIN BOWIE. Bulldogs finish off the opening drive with a 4-yard run from Rhys Moreno. (Bowie, 7-0 | 8:42, 1st)
– Bowie with a very impressive opening drive, and the Bulldogs are already inside the Lake Travis 10.
– Lake Travis wins the opening toss and will defer to the second half. Bowie will take the opening kickoff.
