The No. 1 recruit in the land did it a bit differently, too, choosing to play at Nebraska rather than one of this era’s powerhouses.
Now entering year two, Raiola has dreams of taking the Cornhuskers to great heights.
But on the way there, he wouldn’t mind a big-name spectator.

Raiola was asked at Big Ten Media Days who he would invite to come watch him play if he could ask anyone.
“Probably Michael Jordan or Kobe,” Raiola said. “I know that goes way back before my time. But those are two legends, not only in basketball but overall in sports, they set the bar.”
