Eight sluggers come into Monday with Derby dreams. Only one, however, can come out hoisting the silver trophy featuring a pair of baseball bats.
MLB’s 2025 Home Run Derby will be held Monday evening in Atlanta, the premier event over All-Star festivities outside of the game itself. After Teoscar Hernandez won the event in 2024, a new champion will be crowned at Truist Park with a field full of Derby newcomers.
Matt Olson will be one of the top storylines of the Home Run Derby as the hometown representative, taking his swings in front of Braves fans after replacing the injured Ronald Acuna Jr. Another slugger among the favorites will be Cal Raleigh, the Mariners’ switch-hitting catcher who is already making MLB history with one of the greatest power-hitting seasons at his position ever
