BTOB is currently promoting with four members. Although Yook Sungjae and Im Changsub are still members of the group, while the other four signed with BTOB Company, Yook Sungjae and Im Changsub signed with other agencies. The split in agencies has led to some differences and difficulties in promotions. Currently, the remaining four area active as idols.
A recent advertisement to recruit for their Japan fanclub depicted only four of the members. This seemed to be the final straw for many fans, who requested that the members use a unit name when promoting with less than the full force. On February 14, 2025, the company announced that they would be moving forward with using their original name.
Firstly, regarding the matter of promotions and the group’s name, BTOB Company has received the rights to the name after smooth discussions, so as to protect the precious value of the team name. As such, we established BTOB Company and was able to promote as a group using the name BTOB without any changes.
Currently, Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Im Hyunsik, and Peniel are continueing to promote with the intentions of protecting the team name. Through such decisions, BTOB Company has also decided that they will use the team name BTOB without any changes, and will not use any other unit name for promotions even without all the members.

Please note that all of this was decided upon after deeply considering how to protect the special meaning behind the team name in the long run.In addition, we wish to tell you that BTOB is always prepared to promote in full force, but the state of promotions may change due to the members’ own schedules and circumstances.
We are awaiting the day all the members can promote together under the name BTOB and BTOB Company will do our best for the group’s development.
