Lee Hee Jin, a member of the first-generation girl group Baby V.O.X, and an actress, recently shared some of her harrowing encounters with anti-fans during her idol days.
Lee appeared as a guest on SBS PowerFM‘s Cultwo Show on January 17 and reminisced about her early days in the industry. The idol recalled that she was more popular among female fans, even though she remembered her male fans with fondness.
I had a lot of female fans in particular. Most of the male fans were a bit unique. I remember them showing up in taekwondo uniforms or cycle uniforms. I’ve even seen fans bring bicycles, ride them to the event and then ride it back home.

When host Kim Tae Gyun asked if her large fanbase also attracted anti-fans, she shared some chilling incidents in response. Lee admitted that there were a lot of “memorable anti-fans” who tormented her excessively. “I went through a lot because of someone who was in the same agency as Brian,” she said while referring to her fellow guest, Brian Joo. He immediately recognized who it was and said, “I think I know who. A team with many members?”
Lee then recalled the harrowing incidents she went through at the hands of those anti-fans.
I remember they threw eggs at me. When I came home one day, the front door was on fire.

She expressed her relief at the fact that such extreme incidents don’t seem to happen to idols anymore.
