Some non-K-Pop fans found it weird and couldn’t understand how a music video could get that many views in such a short time, with some even accusing the video of using “fraud” and “ads.”
Broo YouTube and Spotify have killed Music…
All these artists hardly get 200M on Apple Music in a month..

heavy use of fraud ads, mind you her other music videos are yet to cross 300 million views and its been 4 years https://t.co/0a1AXZSTbH

Bro I don’t even trust their streams anymore, even when YouTube was the number 1 streaming platform no artist can pull this kind streams talk less of now that YouTube has fell off.
I think it’s bolts stream these artists are using on Spotify and YouTube.

Yet, K-Pop fans instantly hit back at the confusion, sharing that BLACKPINK is known for their YouTube success when it comes to views and streams.
Why is everyone forgetting that blackpink runs youtube?????
They’re the most suscribed musicians on youtube
They have two videos of the same song with 2b views
They get 100m streams a day! https://t.co/pHmXkw9KOO— ROSIEOUTNOW! (@yhemmie_Dblaq) December 8, 2024
It’s good to see different povs because 500M views as a BLACKPINK stan is very normal. We have a dance performance video that hit 1B+ views, even I still couldn’t process that 😭 https://t.co/N0DGZJ5Wzq pic.twitter.com/17RFKGkEVR

Others pointed out how funny it is that Western fans are shocked by the numbers the music video pulled with Rosé and Bruno Mars.
it’s hilarious to see western fans shocked by the views, like this is standard for kpop, especially BLACKPINK. we are committed to streaming, so calling it inorganic misses the point. BLACKPINK consistently gets these numbers and they’re currently the #1 most subscribed artist https://t.co/A05C81Jl9r

It’s so funny seeing people mention how impossible this is. Meanwhile, we’re talking about a K-pop artist from one of the biggest K-pop groups in South Korea. This is light work for their fans. Mind you, this song broke several records and rightfully so.
I’m so proud of Rosé. https://t.co/X6HNgUK7gS— 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐇 𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐊𝐎𝐘𝐀. (@thesarahadekoya) December 8, 2024
The video now has over 545 million views (as of December 10).
The song has definitely taken over.
