Recently, Kim Eana, a popular lyricist known for writing songs for many K-Pop stars, garnered attention for screenshots of her past online chat messages.
The messages, allegedly from Kim’s Twitch account, revealed that she used phrases specifically by Ilbe users.

Amid President Yoon Suk Yeol‘s martial law declaration, she received comments calling her an ilbe user, however, she claimed that she never accessed the website and that she is “just a citizen outraged by the martial law declaration.”
With this, an online community post garnered much attention as a past statement made by Kim resurfaced. The screenshots posted were from her appearance on the MMTG YouTube channel from 2019.
“JaeJae: So there must be some words you have to look up, right?
Kim Eana: One thing is for certain. I don’t use words that I don’t know because I don’t want to look ridiculous.”
Korean netizens could not hide their disappointment as the image she portrayed on screen was so different.
