Contract extensions are a major talking point at Liverpool this season as the club prepare to make future calls on a host of key players.
Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are expected to be offered two-year renewals on their current deals which both expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will be presented with an offer on a long-term deal as the England international weighs up a rumoured free transfer offer from Real Madrid when his contract also runs out next summer.

The trio are vital to Arne Slot’s plans but they are not the only star names in line for contract talks in the coming weeks.
As per the latest update from the Daily Mirror, Slot is keen to tie down two vital parts of his defence with Ibrahima Konate and Jarell Quansah readied for negotiations.
Konate has emerged as van Dijk’s first-choice defensive partner this season, following the departure of Joel Matip, and the France international is excelling in Slot’s new system.
Injuries have disrupted Quansah’s progress but he remains highly-rated as a future option at Anfield.
Konate is set for improved salary terms, to reflect his new role, with a deal expected to increase his bond on Merseyside from 2026 to 2028.
Talks are further advanced with Quansah, who agreed a fresh deal until 2027 less than 12 month’s ago, but the club are also keen to make a move to reflect his rise from academy star to first-team player.
