Soloist Kwon Eunbi openly called out her acquaintances for pestering her with loan requests.
On September 24, Eunbi appeared on the SBS show Dolsing Fourmen with Kim Wansun and MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, where she candidly talked about her career trajectory and the changes it has brought along the way.
Eunbi looked back at her Waterbomb Festival performance this year, which brought her song “Underwater” its belated but much-deserved success on the charts. Though the song didn’t get quite the response upon its release, after Waterbomb, it quickly became popular and stayed on the charts in Korea for months. “You never know when or how things will turn out in people’s lives,” the singer concluded.
With success, Eunbi has also met some newfound challenges in life. The singer mentioned that nowadays, she often gets calls from acquaintances who ask her to lend them money.
Though the amount is usually within her capacity, she was apprehensive that if she said yes once, it would become a recurring event.
It’s not a huge amount. It’s something I can lend, but if I lend it to someone once, they will probably keep asking for more.
While the singer wondered out loud how to politely turn down such requests, one of the hosts, Lee Sang Min, advised her to avoid money lending, as it often invites trouble for everyone involved.
Meanwhile, Eunbi has been hit with criticism for her “inappropriate” behavior with an NCT member. You can read more about it here.
