Being a fangirl can actually save lives. A BTS ARMY proved that once when they were able to alert a whole restaurant full of people about impending danger, thanks to their love for BTS.
In 2022, a Japanese ARMY had gone to South Korea for vacation. As they were on their way home from a night out in Itaewon, they suddenly noticed that a rubbish heap on the sidewalk had caught fire.
They did not speak Korean, but recalled that one of BTS’s song was called “Fire.” The song title in Korean also means “fire,” or “fire burning.” The fan recalled this and ran into a nearby restaurant shouting the song title in Korean. Koreans nearby heard their screams and understood them. They immediately brought fire extinguishers from nearby and helped to put out the fire. The matter was even reported on Korean nighttime news.

You truly never know when random things you pick up will come in handy! If BTS had never released “Fire,” a whole street might have been burned!
